I am highly organized and competent Community Development Specialist with over 8 years of practical experience in project management, process optimization, and sustainable livelihood approaches. I have a strong track record in coordinating and managing projects related to community engagement, health (HIV/AIDS, TB care), gender and social inclusion, capacity building, disaster preparedness, and household economic empowerment. I have worked with organizations such as World Vision, USAID/PEPFAR-MWENDO project, Compassion International Kenya, CDC KEMRI, and Microfinances.

My core competencies include monitoring and evaluation, project management, community development, research, budgeting and cost control, technical advisory, gender analysis and mainstreaming, advocacy, data analytics, policy and procedure development, community mobilization, child protection, adult safeguarding, and proposal development.

In my current role as a Project Coordinator at World Vision Kenya, I am responsible for facilitating programs and managing sponsorship operations to enhance child and sponsor relations and improve child well-being outcomes.  I also coordinate integrated planning and monitoring of grants and sponsorship activities, engage with community and government stakeholders, oversee community resilience and empowerment initiatives, and participate in policy development and advocacy. They have achieved accomplishments such as regular monitoring of children, conducting training on child protection and gender-based violence, and successfully implementing cash transfer interventions for vulnerable households.

Previously, as a Project Officer at Compassion International Kenya Sponsorship Program, I was in charged of general oversight of the program and strategic planning, budgeting, capacity building, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities.  Provided leadership for the program's technical, financial, and human resources functions, conducted training on life skills and gender-based violence, and managed data collection and management. I achieved successes such as securing funding for projects, conducting advocacy on child protection, and developing gender-specific data.

The candidate also has experience as a Credit Officer at Jiweze Women & Development Program, where I analyzed applicants' financial status and credit worthiness, managed loans and credit portfolios, and provided training on financial management and entrepreneurship to self-help groups. Additionally, I also worked as a Social Worker at HIV Prevention & Protection (HAPPEN), I provided guidance and counseling on comprehensive HIV prevention, engaged in community awareness campaigns, and facilitated adherence counseling and psychosocial support for PLWHA.

I am currently awaiting for graduation in Master's degree in Gender, a Bachelor's degree in Gender & Development, and a Diploma in Community Development & Counseling.
