- Relationship Manager, Mortgages | National Bank of Kenya
- Successfully on boarded 2 main mortgage schemes with business value of approximately Ksh 200M in 2022.
- Reduced mortgage book NPL from 19% in 2018 to 5.6% as at end of 2021.
- On boarded high net worth customers and increased product per customer which has resulted to significant growth in Non funded and interest income.
- Managed relationships with scheme companies which has ensured continuous growth of the mortgage book and additional scheme funding every financial year.
- Sensitized assigned Branches on Mortgage products which has increased mortgage uptake that lead to my branches leading in a recent mortgage campaign within the Bank.
2. Collections Advisor | National Bank of Kenya
- Successfully mitigated migration of NPL accounts by inventing workable recovery measures such restructures, staggered payments and in the worst case scenario, outsource.
- Managed loans repayments for staff retrenched by 2 big companies whose exist from employment meant movement of approximately Kshs. 100M to Non Performing portfolio. I had a physical meeting with each retrenched employee where we came up with payment plans that I monitored to the latter and proudly, to date, none of the accounts is non-performing.
- Reduced turn-around time for settlement of deceased and permanent disability claims by insurer from an initial 30 days to between 2-14 days depending on nature of claim.
- Closed on claims worth approximately Kshs.500M that had not been processed due to lack of documentation by negotiating with insurance companies on minimum threshold of documentation that will prove facility was granted, insurance premium paid and either proof of loss/death or disability.
3. Micro Banker | National Bank of Kenya
- Grew Micro book to set target year on year. Within two years, I had a running book of Kshs.25M which has since matured since they were all short-term loans.
- Maintained micro book PAR at 3% through-out my tenure as a micro banker
- Held the highest cheap deposit in the Nairobi region at the time.
- Successfully championed Agency Banking and on boarded 50 agents that are active to date.
- Prepared requests for working float funding from the branch accountant through the branch Cash Officer.
