I am an organized and diligent professional with 10 years of experience in both Internal Audit and External Audit. I have participated in audit engagements for entities in various sectors including manufacturing, banking, financial services and retail. I have been involved in the provision of auditing, assurance and advisory services to various companies -including several listed companies as an external auditor and worked 6 years as an internal auditor. I have also worked as an accountant and frequently provided consultancy services on financial reporting and other emerging issues in finance. 

I am an experienced Finance & Operations Auditor with a proven track record in various roles. Currently, I am working at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital since February 2023. In this position, my main responsibilities involve evaluating the hospital's financial statements to ensure they accurately reflect its financial performance and position. This includes conducting thorough reviews of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.

I take pride in identifying potential financial risks that could impact the hospital's performance, such as fraud, errors, or accounting irregularities. To mitigate these risks, I thoroughly review the hospital's internal controls to ensure they are robust and effective.

Prior to my current role, I served as a Senior Internal Auditor at Mastermind Tobacco Kenya for five years, where I collaborated with the audit team to reorganize the annual audit work plan and played a key role in developing a risk register for all departments.

Additionally, I have experience as an Internal Auditor at Nakumatt Holdings Ltd, where I conducted various internal audit engagements, including departmental audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments. I also presented audit reports to top management.

I also worked as an audit senior associate at Deloitte for 3 years prior to becoming an internal auditor. In this role, I participated in field work engagements for major clients both as a team leader and team member. I also prepared financial statements based on IFRS. 

My early career included roles as an Accounts Assistant at different organizations, as well as teaching positions at Maasai Plains School and St. Patrick's Hill School, where I taught English, Maths, and German.

Overall, my extensive auditing experience and strong financial and operational skills enable me to provide valuable recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency in any organization I work with.
