Elizabeth has worked extensively in the agribusiness sector in Kenya and East Africa for the last 10 years. Prior to being a global businesswoman, Elizabeth worked with Kenya Energy & Environmental Organization (KENGO), being a Programmes Officer for renewable energy working with women groups on energy conservation and tree planting. Before coming full time at Ekaj General Trading, Elizabeth worked also with Agrinco Limited, where she gathered more export market experience. In her various positions, she fundraised and managed a portfolio of businesses worth over 5M USD that included training of small holder farmers across East Africa. She co- founded Ekaj General Trading Limited because of the huge business opportunity in the plastic business after the ban on plastic bags; and the gap farmers were facing on lack of markets and high post-harvest losses.
Elizabeth has attended some executive courses on Leadership, strategy and management, and has also attended agribusiness and global supply chain management webinars. She is passionate about transforming the lives of small holder farmers and the youth sustainably and firmly believes in shared value across the supply chain from the farmers to the buyers.

Skilled in Written communication, Verbal communication, Organization, Time management, Attention to detail, Problem-solving, Technology and Independence. Worked with National NGO, Kenya Energy and Environment Organization, Private Company- Agrinco Ltd and Ekaj General Trading Ltd among others. Participated in several activities with other International NGOs, Kenya Climate Innovation Centre, The Future Female UK Program, Partner Africa Ireland, Melanin Kapital East and Central Africa, empowering communities in Africa especially disadvantaged women and children (illiteracy, poverty and human rights).
