Elijah Wango

My name is Elijah Wango, a male adult, Kenyan aged 42 years, married and blessed with 3 children. i am currently employed by the Kenya Defense Forces, Kenya Air Force. My current station is Laikipia Air Base, Nanyuki.

I hold a bachelors degree in Security Management and Policing Studies from Kenyatta University. Besides, i have a Diploma certificate in Automotive engineering from Kenya Defense Forces Technical College(Embakasi Garrison), Certificate in Vehicle Electricals from School of Electrical and Mechanical engineering(Kahawa Barracks), Vehicle elecrical and Mechanical trade tests grades I, II and III, Basic computer certificate, First Aid course from NYS and vast knowledge in internal security matters since the time i had my field attachment at Nanyuki Police Station.

i am pleased to be honored and awarded Head of State Commendation, Long serving Good Conduct, Operation Linda Inchi, African Mission Operation in Somalia and Promulgation of new Constitution Medals.

Before joining the KDF, i worked with Mabati Rolling Mills(Mariakani), EPCO builders Ltd, Steel Structures Ltd as casual laborer. I joined National Youth Service in 2000, did basic training in Gilgil town, proceeded to Mombasa NYS unit for Nation building and finally to NYS engineering institute in Nairobi for a course in Diploma in Welding and Fabrication Technology before joining the Kenya Defense Forces in 2001. Since i joined the Kenya Airforce, i have risen across the ranks from the rank of Private to current rank, Senior Sergeant.

I am a dedicated, focused and security sensitive person who is ready to work in any capacity to offer safety to people and assets.

I have been involved in security job as a primary duty since the time i joined the National youth Service in the year 2000 to 2001 and in the Kenya Defense Forces since 2001 to date. I have also interacted with several security actors within and without the country at different capacities.
