Duncan Nyambura

I’m a passionate and empathetic medical social work student currently interning at Kenyatta National Hospital. My work is driven by a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals, especially children and adolescents affected by psychosocial challenges. I thrive in environments where compassion, teamwork, and research come together to create meaningful change. With strong interests in HIV care, mental health, and community advocacy, I aim to use my skills to empower patients and improve access to holistic support services. Every step I take in my journey is guided by the belief that healing goes beyond medicine — it starts with understanding.

I’m a passionate and driven medical social work student currently interning at Kenyatta National Hospital. I bring hands-on experience in patient support, data collection, and team collaboration, with a special focus on HIV care and community wellness. I've also volunteered at a children’s home, which deepened my empathy and strengthened my commitment to helping vulnerable populations. I thrive in fast-paced healthcare environments and love working with diverse teams to create real impact.

I am currently pursuing a Diploma in  medical Social Work  at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), where I am in my second year, first semester. My studies have equipped me with solid knowledge in psychosocial support, community health, data collection, and client care. I’ve also gained practical experience through my internship at Kenyatta National Hospital, where I work closely with patients, families, and medical teams.
