Dick Nzioki

I have a career spanning for a 25 years in construction works,project management and facility management.I have wide exposure from inception of projects,implementation and facility management.I have worked with a major construction company and later joined a utility company in construction project management and facility management ,where i was handling new multiple  construction projects with a team of project managers and administration officers under me among other staff.

I am a holder of a Bachelors degree in Construction Project Management and am currently finalizing my Masters degree thesis-VALUE ENGINEERING for the same.I also hold a Higher Diploma and Ordinary Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering which gave me an excellent foundation  in building and civil Engineering.

Am registered with AAK Architectural Association of Kenya as a corporate member  in the Construction Project Manager Chapter.

I am a man of integrity,honest,ambitious,self driven,dependable,result oriented,team builder,a peoples person,I think on my feet,keen to details and thorough in accomplishing assigned tasks with excellent results under minimum supervision.I have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills and I have the ability to work, interact with people from diverse backgrounds,cultures and disciplines.

1)1993 Jan  to 1993 March 
PROJECT MANAGER - LATIS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
I was responsible for co-ordinating the site logistics,labour,material and quality control in 3 building construction sites.
I ensured various project stages were delivered on time and cost.
I confirmed all construction details,checked/confirmed  variations and omisions.
And ensured valuation and interim certificate payments from client on time.

2)SITE ENGINEER -MUGOYA CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED-1993 April -1996 Aug
I assisted the Site Agent on overall administration of the construction site.
Checked construction drawings for errors/discrepancies and Interpreted working drawings for material requirements.I ensured site instructions were implemented and checked the Re-enforcement bars drawings/schedule and fixing.
I prepared Project progress and  monitored progress, prepared payment Certificates and was involved in general supervision to ensure specs were adhered to.I also ensured site safety and ensured minimum accidents. 

3) CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT - KENYA POWER & LIGHTING CO. LTD -1996 Dec-  2015  Jan 
-I was instrumental in building a Project management team to run projects company wide.
-I budgeted for  Capital projects and also repair & maintenance projects company wide.
-I Supervised Project Managers of Building & Civil engineering Capital and R &M projects company wide.
-I supervised the Projects team in production of working drawings, specifications & Bills of quantities.
-I  was instrumental in identifying contractors to work with to deliver projects on time and cost, i  was responsible for Seeking necessary approvals for implementation of projects.
And ensured Installation, Servicing & maintenance of building services in Kenya Power facilities company wide to for optimum production

4) CHIEF OFFICER –KENYA POWER, ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT - 2015 Jan to  2017 July 
Co-ordinated Administive/building services and ensured inception ,budgeting,design,procurement and implementation  of Administration projects and facility management in all company facilities on time ,specification and cost.
-Was instrumental in the monitoring and evaluation of the projects through chairing of project meetings.
-Evaluated the risks and come up with mitigation measures.
-Ensured proper contract management to reduce exposure of the company.
-I managed contracts and  performance management of the Administrative officers and project managers which resulted in better project delivery. 
-Checked procurement,payments to contractors at each stage to ensure value for money. 
-Was involved in dispute resolution using avoidance,conciliation,Arbitration etc 
5)CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER -  MARCOLENT LTD -  Aug 2017 todate
I have been involved in the planing,execution,monitoring,control and closure of construction projects and general oversite of the construction projects to deliver it as per specification,cost and time.I was also managing some residential properties in Malaa.
I was very instrumental in the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census,where I was a Project Manager
