● Support implementation of the communications strategy to raise awareness of key programs and activities in TaRL Africa. 

● Support strategic media outreach in collaboration with the country offices. 

● Support writing, editing, and proofreading of communication materials, documents, and reports 

● Support all internal and external communications activities for TaRL Africa. 

● Support the development of social media and website content development and management platforms including daily posting and updates. 

● Collaborate with the broader TaRL Africa team on communications needs, brainstorming, and planning.

CREAW Kenya, Nairobi - Kenya - Communications Officer January 2021 - April 2022 

● Supporting in the development and implementation of CREAW’s communication strategy. 

● Working with the Communication Officer to strengthen partnerships with media outlets and ensure visibility and coverage of CREAW’s events, programs and activities at the national and county levels. 

● Working on the regular documentation of project events and implementation activities and prepare drafts of such content for social media, website, CREAW’s newsletters and project publications. 

● Generating, editing and scheduling daily content on CREAW’s digital platforms- Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and website- in line with CREAW’s communication and branding guidelines. 

● In coordination with the Communication Officer and program teams, soliciting information, draft publicity materials including activity profiles and project factsheets, success stories, case studies and articles for publication and dissemination in various multimedia platforms. 

● Collaborating with the communication’s officer and programs teams in the provision of leadership and critical support in information gathering, knowledge management and dissemination of information and communication products within CREAW’s programs and external audiences. 

● Supporting CREAW’s program teams and Implementing Partners to meet their communication needs while maintaining good relations with partners, line institutions and organizations. 

● Occasionally conducting field visits to CREAW’s program sites to gather information, document activities. 

● Building capacity of the programs teams to improve their reporting, communication and advocacy skills so as to implement reporting best practices
