Monitoring and evaluation officer with 4 years of experience in tracking and reporting. Provide Monitoring and evaluation expertise for the multiple myeloma program and two other studies.

Achievements:

Strategy development and innovation: 

• Introduced new strategies together with the program team on how to train and sensitize HCPs (Health Care Providers) and CHWs (Community Health workers) and increased the number of HCPs sensitized by 32% and CHWs by 39%.
• Introduced new strategies together with the program team on how to sensitize the community on Multiple Myeloma by adopting Multiple Myeloma survivors to be MM advocates in the community, this increased number of people being screened by 16%.

Learning & Capacity building: 

• Developed a database for the MM program in RedCap that reduced data quality issues by 50%
• Trained program team routinely on data quality, reporting, timelines, and also practical sessions on how to use program software e.g., RedCap, Ms. Access. This improved data quality and timeliness by 50%.

Information sharing and Publication:

• Presented the fieldwork findings at the 7th African Palliative Cancer Association in Kampala, Uganda.
• Contributed statistical and monitoring and evaluation expertise in the publication of 5 manuscripts by the program.
• Presented the program findings monthly to funding donors and other partners to improve program performance.
• Data management and Reporting:
• Conducted routine data quality assessment, this improved data quality by 50%.
• Facilitated transfer from Ms. Access to Redcap, a process that improved data quality and timeliness by 20%.
• Analyzed program data to develop ML models and survival curves that informed decision-making, e.g. introduction of a new drug that has better outcomes compared to those that exist.

Coordination, administration, and Logistics:

• Provided logistic support in conferences and workshops by preparing workshop materials, registration of participants, and verifying per diem.
• Assessed field activities to ensure they respond to program indicators and to improve on strategies to meet set targets.
