As an IT Support Assistant at Strathmore University, your main responsibilities include:

User Relationship Management: You are responsible for managing phone and email recovery. This means that you will be answering phone calls and responding to emails from users who require IT support. You will need to communicate effectively with users, be patient, and troubleshoot any issues they might be facing.

Installation of OS and other software: You will be responsible for installing operating systems and other software on university-owned computers. You will need to ensure that all software is installed correctly and that it is licensed.

Answering questions about the university and its services: You will need to have a good understanding of the university and its services in order to answer questions from students and staff. You will be expected to have a good knowledge of the university's policies, procedures, and resources.

Resolving issues and troubleshooting technical problems: You will be responsible for resolving technical issues that users might be facing. This includes diagnosing problems, testing solutions, and ensuring that the issue is resolved.

Delivering information about the university offerings: You will need to be knowledgeable about the university's offerings and be able to communicate this information effectively to students and staff.

Providing proactive student and staff outreach: You will need to be proactive in reaching out to students and staff to offer IT support and address any concerns they might have.

Handling complaints: You will need to be able to handle complaints effectively and resolve them in a

I completed a Diploma in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University between 2017-2019 and graduated with a Merit. They then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from the same university between 2020-2022 and are awaiting graduation with an expected Second Upper Class degree.
