Denis Odero

My name is Denis Odero and Iam 40years old, For the last 12 years, I have been working as a store keeper, a field researcher and as a financial analyst and administrator in Okamoto freight services, OWN and associate LTD and CMC Motors respectively. I have CPA-K and a degree in business management -Finance and Banking.

Through my career, I have been good with numbers and strategic thinking to come up with solutions that save on budget. for example, in CMC we came up with the operation route model which all repairs were categorized into route and a person could be assign to a specific route to carry out multiple services other than attending to one customer and back. This saved us a budget of Ksh.500,000.00 annually. 

Also in 2022, I was part of the lead team that implemented the new Enterprise Resouces Program (ERP) and training before migrating of all operations data.

Moving forward, I hope to expand my experience across different industries and that is why I am interested in this role.

1. Preparation of monthly budget for management approval.
2. Preparation of monthly financial reports
3. Filling statutory requirement with the relevant bodies on time.
4. Recording financial transactions and reconcile accounts in accordance to GAAPs.
5. Collaboration with the clients to address queries on their accounts and resolve them for better client relationship.
6. Analyse the financial data and advice the management for decision making. 
7. Management of petty cash, account receivables and payables for liquidity balancing.
8. Controlling the department budget allocation to the minimum digit of expenses.
9. Keeping in touch with debtors for collection of overdue debts.
