Assisting in data centre and system related projects including upgrades and migrations. 

Performing daily system health checks and intervene on any likelihood of system errors and malfunctions and keeping a documentation of the vulnerabilities and the intervention measures taken. 

Provide Tier-2 service system support to users; escalate and coordinate all Tier-3 incidents support with contracted support partners for resolution as per the external support SLA and IT Service Level Agreement with the Business. 

Performing system installations, systems upgrades, systems migration and rollout of new software patches and updates. 

Coordinating and performing decommissioning of legacy systems; create system growth plans and monitoring resource utilization. 

Creating and assigning appropriate system roles and system access permissions as defined and signed-off by the business. 

Performing disaster and backup recovery tests as per the schedule, preparing necessary reports, following up and resolve identified failures or errors. 

Performing preventive maintenances for server infrastructure as per the schedule including applying patches and server upgrades whenever necessary.

Troubleshooting any issues regarding AWS Services with a focus on deployment services, monitoring, and networking. 

Architecting and designing microservices infrastructure. 

Managing deployment of Kubernetes clusters leveraging EKS. 

Deploying Amazon LightSail and troubleshooting any networking issues that may arise

Managed the Active Directory Domain Services for objects management (users, contact, groups, network printers, and network). 

Responsible for Active Directory Administration to provide strategic and tactical direction for Active Directory Services, Identity, and Access Management, Role-Based Access and Control, and Segregations of Duties.

Ensuring that there is minimal loss of service when equipment fails by quickly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision

May 2019 - September 2019: IT Support Intern at Feed the Children, Kenya 

Assisted in the rolling out of the SharePoint Human Resource Management System that digitized Human Resources functions and responsibilities. 

Operated an IT helpdesk for rendering prompt assistance to users who reported IT incidences and problems over the phone or physically. 

Updated and maintained the IT database that stored the records of the organization’s IT assets and consumables. 

Worked with the IT team in undertaking quarterly IT audits. 

Carried out regular servicing and maintenance of ICT equipment, which include cleaning and blowing; antivirus update and scanning.
