David Odembo

I aspire to serve humanity for sustainable development and helping the needy in the context of emerging social and environmental issues with blue economy and social justice as the girder.

I am a dedicated community development professional motivated by the need to create a better society in marginalized communities in a bid to help them make a living for themselves and improve their lives both economically and socially. Some of the roles I have engaged in handling include; championing for the rights of the child with a focus on sexual violence against children, seeking advice from the appropriate agencies as and when required and provided advice to children as and when necessary, assisting team members with appropriate resources for the children and families, counseling individuals and families regarding mental health, substance abuse, physical abuse and rehabilitation issues. Given my passion for making a difference in the lives of the youth, children, and individuals, my goal is to secure a position as a social worker where my expertise will be utilized in performing my roles and achieving the organization’s objectives. I am passionate about participating in projects and activities that endeavor to make a difference in the lives of marginalized and growing communities. I am now seeking a position where my, research and community mobilization competencies will be utilized in making a difference in marginalized communities.
