David Amira brings together over a decade of demonstrated technical expertise in delivering creatively astute advocacy and communications strategies. His versatile track record offers organizations a diligent, self-motivated team leader that has contributed to influencing policies, and inducing behaviour change, across the African continent.

I have held various roles and responsibilities across multiple organizations, demonstrating a strong background in communications, advocacy, and campaign coordination. At UNICEF's East & Southern Africa Regional Office, I curated and facilitated training for SRH and HIV advocacy networks, provided technical assistance to youth networks, and played a key role in creating advocacy resources. During my secondment with the African Union Commission, I led communications for the Women, Gender, and Youth Directorate initiatives, contributing to regional campaigns with significant engagement. I also managed communications strategies, campaigns, and stakeholder coordination for different organizations, such as Hivos, Netherlands Development Organisation, IKEA Foundation, Brand2D, Capital FM Group, Yappo Mobile Payments, and Instant Grass Consumer Collaboration Agency. My extensive experience encompasses diverse aspects of communication strategy, campaign development, stakeholder engagement, and project management across various sectors and regions.
