This was my internship Centre as a requirement by clinical officer’s council running for a period of one year. The daily responsibilities included: Diagnosing patients, Carrying out investigations, daily checkup on the patients and advising accordingly, response to questions by patients, and visitors, proper counseling depending on the need, advising on family planning, Treatment and planning for admission of patients, carrying out cesarean operations.

Main duties

Worked in discharge and admission, audit where the key responsibilities include:

• Preauthorization of procedures from different facilities

• Undertaking of admissions including declines

• Giving out letter of undertaking

• Vetting and confirming validity of documents

• Engaging service providers on matters cost and discount

• Verification of patients if they are actually in the hospital

• Auditing various document to determine any false documentation

• Identifying fraud documentation and fraudulent activities being cotacted by various hospitals
