I am committed environmentalist who is passionate about caring for the environment with vast knowledge and experience in environmental management, research ,waste management and pollution and renewable energy and good understanding of Environmental law and policies with considerable experience of formulating policies, procedures, good practices and impact assessments, implementing these followed by monitoring and reviewing. Has professional capabilities and can relate to people on all levels, including senior managers, other staff, external contractors and external environment professionals. Has considerable experience of caring out staff training and presenting reports to senior management at meetings

I hold a Diploma in Environmental Science. I have over 4years of proven progressive professional work experience and practice in Environmental management, waste management and urban sanitation. I have demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing strategies that are aimed to reduce waste, and manage it through correct channels. I have the ability to oversee waste management schemes, supervise the transportation of waste, offer suggestions for recycling, ensure compliance with legislation, and oversee teams of waste management officers to ensure their work is properly carried out.

 I have previously worked  with ChildFund Kenya, as a Project Officer, where I trained and educated Youth groups in proper waste management and recycling skills. Before the commencement of the project, I invited professionals in the financial sector to teach them proper financial management and how they can access loans and funding to boost their project .I also oversaw the group in setting up a buying yard, doing waste collection, storage, sorting and eventually linking them with waste processing manufacturers so to buy their product thus empowering them economically so as to ensure the program is sustainable, I worked with 10 ChildFund community health volunteers (CHVs) doing sensitization of proper waste management in 4500 households in Mukuru urban community, moreover have Supervise the Development and rehabilitation of appropriate WASH infrastructure in the emergency program Sensitization of  the staff on environmental impact assessment (EIA) issues and the mitigating factors, so that our operations as an implementing agency can meet the minimum standards as set up by the water resources management authority, national environment management authority (NEMA), and in conformity with the water Act 2016, laws of the republic of Kenya, Providing technical inputs in capacitating community based water management structures including the Water User Association/water management committees on O&M of completed water systems, Ensure Hygiene Promotion through sensitization and provision of menstrual hygiene management kits, Capacity building  the staff and other water users on the need to conserve water by using methods geared towards the general environmental conservation and Promotion of Safe water storage and good sanitation and hygiene practices at the household.

I have worked with Transfo green world as aproject under environmental conservation program, my main duties were, designing and implementing appropriate strategies addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation, Promotion of  environmental sustainability , productive agricultural activities (agro-forestry, backyard development, apiculture), eco- friendly businesses (like ecotourism) and better product marketing schemes, Undertake natural resource conservation activities (re-afforestation, area closure and woodlot) and introduce appropriate technologies for generating household energy sources, Introduce  and support feasible income generation programs for women and other vulnerable community members to ensure economic empowerment and Participating in disaster early warning, relief and rehabilitation activities . 

I have also worked with Sistema Bio as a Field representative in ensuring recycling of organic waste to produce Biogas energy which is environmentally friendly and cheaper to farmers, which has boosted my market search capabilities and good management skills, I have also worked as an attaché at County government of kericho under department of environment where I supported in conducting Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), report writing, and managing of waste collection by the county government .I have also  volunteered with Hanell international environmental network. I am also a member of Kenya Environmental Action Network (KEAN). This has helped me to expand my knowledge and network with likeminded Environmentalists across the globe.
