Duties
- Enhance controlled waste management systems which shall ensure clean, safe and habitable urban centers
- Inspected or evaluated workplace environments, equipment or practices to verify compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Trained new employees in proper safety procedures to minimize accidents with proper behaviors.
- Development and regulations of by Laws on Environmental Conservation
- Evaluation and Review of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports
- Formulation of Legislation that culminated in the development of the Kajiado County Environment Protection Act, 2020, Kajiado County Climate Change Act, 2020, Sand and quarrying Bill Draft and Kajiado Implementation Transitional Plans (TIPs).
- Tree planting and nurturing
- Air and noise pollution and public nuisance control and removal.
- Protection of fragile ecosystems
- Enhance and enforce sustainable exploration, exploitation, use and sustainable management of natural resources
- Assist in administration in the department by coordinating communications and ensure timely communication with all staff, assist in establishing general office procedures (photocopying, secretarial duties, phones, fax etc.) and ensure that they are been carried out in a professional manner.February 2018-July 2018: Internship at Teachers Service Commission (TSC), ICT Department.
