My name is Collins and I would describe myself as an industrious worker and somebody who already has the skills and qualities to match the job description. Over the years I've acted in various roles where the need to collaborate closely with other people was the norm. I also have the academic background to be able to add value to this position and contribute to your team real quickly. I believe i am a high achiever and I have always received positive feedback from my managers and supervisors in my previous roles. If you hire me, I will be the type of worker who will always go above and beyond what is expected in my work. I will embrace change positively and I will make sure you see a positive return on your investment.

After finishing my High school studies, I worked as a Mathematics and Physics teacher at Praise Students Center for 6 months. Some of my roles were;

• Revision of coursework taught in school during the holidays.
• Helping the students understand the various concepts they had trouble with while in school.
• Building a healthy relationship with the students and counseling them in affairs that affect them (Life skills)

For my first attachment in campus I had the chance to work at Numerical Machining Complex for a period of 13 weeks. Roles assigned to me were;

• Foundry works, from making of patterns to testing in the laboratory and casting of molds.
• Operation of CNC machines for both milling and Turning operations.
• Interpretation of CAD drawings.
• Generating of CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Fabrication of mechanical parts which involves welding and assembly.

For my second attachment. I worked at East African Portland Cement PLC for a period of 12 weeks. Duties I performed were;

• Supervision of attaches assigned to me while on site up to completion of task assigned.
• Inspection of the plant and giving a report to my supervisor for preparation of repairs to be done following day.
• Mechanical Fitting of mechanical components.
• Solved any breakdowns that occurred, either those planned for or when called upon.

I'm currently in my Fifth year pursuing my undergraduate degree in, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.
