As a Technician Support at Nairobi City County, Kenya Data center, I
was responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and administering LANs, WANs, mainframe
networks, computer workstations repair and peripheral equipment. I have experience in
operating master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks,
and coordinating access and use of computer networks. Additionally, I provided problem-
solving services to network users, implemented data, software and hardware security
procedures, performed routine network start-up and close-down, and maintained control
records.
I am proficient in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading web-server hardware
and software, setting up local area networks and connections to the internet, implementing
network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimizing server performance. I have
also performed web-server backup and recovery operations and have experience in
supervising one to eight people.
My expertise in computer and technology knowledge, designing and redesign of applications
and software, Linux, Macintosh Operating System, MS Windows networking software,
networking security, intranet, servers, communication software, web service design, and MS
Office and spreadsheet management make me a suitable candidate for the position.
