Christopher Otieno

I have learnt GIS and remote sensing at undergraduate level for four years in Moi university, I was attached at Vihiga County GIS laboratory for six months where i gained more experience with GIS. I am interested in GIS and remote sensing analysis and have passion in becoming one of the best GIS specialists in the world. I have skills in right from data collection using arcgis survey 123, Open data kit, data input into GIS, data retrieval, data management, manipulation and analysis using GIS and remote sensing softwatres including arcgis pro, arcmap, qgis, idrisi, global mapper, erdas imagine and in GIS and remote sensing automation techniques including Google Earth engine, using javascript, python and sql programming languages, postgis in django and pgadmin4 using postgresql. I also posses good communication skills, management skills and good behaviour. 

I have worked at Vihiga County GIS laboratory for six months in 2022 .

I have worked witb IEBC during elections in the year 2022

I have worked with KNBS during national population census in 2019

I have played major roles in Geography and Environmental students association for GIS and remote sensing workshops including GIS days where I have spearheaded a team of GIS professionals towards achieving programs including environmental clean up day.

2018-2022 : Bachelor of arts in Geography at Moi university( Attained Second class upper division).

2014-2017: High school at Guu mixed secondary school( scored geograhy B+ and A plain in Mathematics with an average grade of B-)

2007-2013 : Did my KCPE and attained 349 marks
