About Christine Kirungi:
A seasoned Monitoring & Evaluation professional with over 15 years of experience in leading Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for different organizations. I am self-driven; results oriented, hard-working individual with proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. I have excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting tight timelines and setting priorities, a top level communicator with strong writing and research skills. I have hands-on experience in planning, getting work done, establishing priorities, coordinating and monitoring budgets and work plans. I have strong abilities to conduct meetings, trainings, prepare and present concise oral and written organizational reports and other documentations in regards to Project Management and Administration. I am fully literate in computer applications for data capture, processing, analysis and presentation. These include; Database design, management and proficiency in computer software applications such as SPSS, STATA, Ms-ACCESS, Ms-Excel, Epi Info and Epi Data. I also have a vast knowledge/experience in Education Information Management System (EMIS), Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) tools; both primary and reporting tools and the reporting system; that is, DHIS2 and later HYBRID & DATIM. I have worked with and supported district HMIS officers and Biostatisticians to ensure timely and accurate reporting of data using this system (HMIS) and OpenMRS. I am innovative, result oriented and good at resources and project management. I relate well with clients/customers, and ensure that their needs are met.
Experience
Key Responsibilities to date
- Creation of M&E management Tool(s) to be used in the organization for monitoring and evaluating activities.
- Planning and preparing for all M&E surveys and activities.
- Planning, budgeting and preparing for individual M&E data collection / entry activities.
- Managing the implementation of all surveys including monitoring of field operations, data collection data capture.
- Managing the collation and analysis of all relevant data, report formatting. Prepare reports/ feedback to management for appropriate action
- Undertake periodic field visits to assess developments in the project implementation, and reporting on results.
- Develop recommendations on ongoing and future activities, lessons learned, and modifications to implementation strategies.
- Establish a monitoring, auditing and reporting system to check data quality with regard to correctness completeness and correctness.
- Ensured filing of data source, documents, and reports occurs in a timely and well-structured format.
- Present findings from reports to stakeholders, participate in conferences including news conferences.
- Oversee the creation of a Database and data warehouse to hold and manipulate the collected data
- Ensure data safety, data backup and recovery protocol are developed and implemented
- Supporting other partners in setting up their own / national M&E systems.
- Managing the M&E Department and its staff.
