I am a motivated and dedicated creative designer, 2D Animator and graphic designer. I have graduated with a degree in Creative Arts, Film and Media Studies (Kenyatta University). I have experience, knowledge and skills in the art of creating, conceptualizing and designing art.

My specific competencies include graphic design, 2D animation, video editing, publication layout, writing and motion graphics. I am an effective communicator with the ability to anticipate problems and solve them quick, I am confident and able to communicate information in an enthusiastic manner and I work well and easily with teams to produce quality work. I love telling stories through motion and visual formats and I hope my art will not only educate but impact and even create change in society.

Standard Media Group Plc - Motion Graphics Designer

June 2021 -March 2023

Responsibilities

I joined Standard Media Group Plc, the biggest media group in Kenya as the in-house Motion Graphic Designer for the commercial department. While at Standard I worked exclusively with the advertising department to create animated TV advertisements for their clients. I work closely with a copy writer and a creative digital strategist to create animated fun and relevant adverts that are broadcasted on Standard Media Group's TV Stations that is; KTN Home, KTN News, BTV and Farmers TV which reach millions of Kenyan Households daily. At Standard, I have created promos and TVCs for some of the biggest brands in Kenya including EABL, Safaricom, some government agencies, CocaCola, Kenya Power and Lighting Company and so much more

Equity Group Holdings- Multimedia Graphic Designer

March 2020 - May 2021

Responsibilities

At Equity Group Holdings, some of my responsibilities included:

• Support the brand with creating animations/motion graphics to progress the group’s activities.
• Support Equity’s Subsidiaries in design materials or training staff in line with Equity’s brand guidelines.
• Design a monthly e-magazine titled My Family which is published on Equity’s Staff network and is distributed to over 3000 employees.
• Design content for Equity’s social media networks for any subsidiary.
• Design any in-house communication or memos within the company.
• Interpret the brand and ensuring that any communication materials within or outside the company are in line with the guidelines set in place for the Brand

Responsibilities

Worked as a graphic designer and motion designer for the political segment The 5th Estate which later on transitioned to a TV station called The 5th Estate. Produced weekly graphics to support the show.

The Eastern Africa Resilience Innovation Hub - Multidisciplinary Designer

Responsibilities

I generated visually stimulating explainers and infographics for The EARIH think tank and innovation centre to support their research in East Africa . I also shot and edited videos for the organization that were subsequently uploaded to their YouTube Channel by the same name.
