Charles Muli

I am currently the chairman of the Mathematics and Statistics department at Machakos University and an applied Mathematics lecturer handing undergraduate teaching and mentoring as well as graduate students supervision  

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Education B.Ed. (Sc.)In 1998, I was posited to teach mathematics in High school a position I held until 2012. Afterward, I moved to a teaching university where I started at the Presbyterian University of Eastern Africa as an assistant lecturer. I later moved to South Eastern Kenya University as a Tutorial fellow up to 2015. besides teaching, I was mentoring students in my area of specialization.

In September 2015 I moved to Machakos University as a Tutorial fellow and I was later appointed to be the Timetabling and Examination coordinator where I was tasked to prepare a teaching timetable for our Mathematics and Statistics Department.

Upon completion of my term as Timetabling and Examination coordinator, I was moved to the industrial attachment office where I oversaw the external as well as internal attachment, apprenticeship as well as internship placement.

In May 2021,  I was appointed to be the chairman of the Mathematics and Statistics Department up to date. where I coordinate and plan the day-to-day running of the department in harmony with the university almanac.
