Through my knowledge in the clearing and forwarding . i have been able to performe the below duties

• Preparation and lodging of customs entries – IDF / IM4/ EX1/EX3
• Attaching the KENTRADE link to the entries.
• Assist with clearing instruction to confirm that all information received from the consignee is accurate before submitting it to the customs/ KRA system for clearance- this is to avoid huge penalties.
• Submitting all the necessary documentation onto the KRA electronic system on behalf of the consignee.
• Ensuring the goods are legitimate, correctly valued and declared upon import – this includes customs debt, accuracy of the information given in the declaration, the authenticity of the documents presented and the compliance with all obligations.
• Retaining all the documents related to customs transactions in an orderly manner.
• Prepare and submit the required customs documentation with the authorities for clearance.
• Making sure the goods are cleared with customs 
• Making sure there is payment of import duties and taxes of the goods to the KRA.
• Ensuring imports and exports trucks are verified upon released by KRA
• Updating all imports and exports trucks at the border daily.
• Ensure a smooth transfer of files/ issues.
• Follow up on consignments and ensure that clients have been updated on the status
• Ensures that SOPs are applied in each step of the process
• Assist other staff members in case of operational issues.
• Ensures that files are regularly archived - physically ad electronically monthly
