KNCCI is a Not-for-Profit Multi-lateral Business Membership organization with a presence in 176 Countries and within the 47 County Chapters in Kenya. All Chambers of Commerce across the world work together to promote the interest of the business community.

Job Description

1. Enterprise development support focusing on financial access, markets access, and business competitiveness and resilience enhancement 
2. project coordination and implementation and compliance support 
3. SME development and acceleration through business model re-engineering and consolidating multi-stakeholder support for Enterprise development 
4. Fundraising (designing programs for donor funding and responding to call for proposals) as well as leading and executing partnerships programs with donors, government agencies, and other development partners.
5. Designing and executing research studies on areas of policy, trade, and economics on established knowledge and policy gaps for purposes of informing specific policy needs aimed at enhancing business competitiveness in Kenya and Africa
6. Data editing coding and analysis using statistical analysis tools such as SPSS and interpretation 
7. Policy analysis and drafting of policy briefs on private sector competitiveness and implication of government policy or its lack of thereof- on the business environment
8. Actively undertaking advocacy programs, multi-stakeholder stakeholder consultative, and sensitization forums aimed at resolving identified barriers to trade and improving the business environment in Kenya. 
9. Provision of demand-driven technical assistance for activities including, but not limited to, drafting, and/or revising relevant policies and regulations and strategies 

European Union-funded AMREF Health Africa BE4WE project)

 As the Project Coordinator Women in Trade facilitation project (For the AMREF Health Africa BE4WE project that aims to empower Women Entrepreneurs in (Samburu and Marsabit Counties) in enterprise development by proving access to finance, markets, and business model re-engineering to ensure business sustainability. The economic inclusion component also project is implemented by KNCCI. I work as the Project Coordinator Under KNCCI

USAID Funded Raliys Program under Mercy Corps, Tecno Serve, and KNCCI

Position: Project Coordinator  KNCCI

RALIYS (Resilience and Livelihoods Improvement for Youth through Systems) is a SIDA-funded Market Systems Development (MSD) program working in selected counties in Northern Kenya in partnership with KNCCI to increase incomes of poor and marginalized rural female and male youth (ages 18-35), and build their resilience to shocks and stresses to reduce their losses. RALIYS works with private sector market actors who have the capability and incentives to address the critical constraints that prevent rural youth from participating productively in key market systems.

Program: USAID Tumikia Mtoto Project- 

Position: Project Coordinator Under KNCCI 

The USAID Tumikia Mtoto Project focuses on Behavioural Interventions targeting adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) aged 9-24 years in Embakasi North and South, Kasarani, Kamukunji, Westlands, Makadara in Nairobi, and Thika and Ruiru Sub counties in Kiambu. This is a 5 years OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) and DREAMS (Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-Free, Mentored and Safe) Program that aims to increase the use of Quality County-led Health and Social Services. The DREAMS initiative is aimed at reducing new HIV infections among 9-24 years old AGYW through the provision of a tailored, comprehensive, and evidence-informed service package for AGYW, their male sexual partners; families; and communities. 

Program: GIZ Programme for Promotion of Self-employment and Entrepreneurship. 

Position: Project Coordinator and SME Development Specialist

The project aims to enhance the survival of Micro and Small businesses that are experiencing a difficult road to recovery because of the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. KNCCI, through this project, will be seeking to provide post-pandemic planning and recovery support for Kenyan SMEs/entrepreneurs whose businesses would most benefit from post-pandemic planning that aims to enable SMEs to respond, recover, and renew their business models. The intervention seeks to empower SMEs to respond by taking immediate actions focused on keeping essential business functions operating

Program: INUKA –

Position: Project Coordinator   

INUKA is a Financial Inclusion Project implemented by the Kenya Bankers Association and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The project was implemented across 47 counties in Kenya where over 21,000 MSMEs, youth, and women traders have been trained on available financial products, how to access finance, and general financial literacy. The project aims to empower businesses to access finance, markets, and business model re-engineering to ensure business sustainability. 

Program: Word Bank and European Union-funded Switch Africa Green /Green to Grow Program that promoted the implementation of sustainable development goal of sustainable production and consumption under the mango, coffee, and Dairy value chains implemented in 17 counties in Kenya.

Position: Trade Specialist and Business Coach 

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Provision of managerial training as business coaching and mentorship
2. Investee appraisal through process and systems review, operational planning, market research, financial modeling/performance forecasting, proposal/business plan development, and capital raising with Impact financiers.
3. Value chain linkages with export markets, lenders, and investors 
4. Business environment scanning including risk identification and mitigation.

Private sector SME Coordinator 

For the Private Sector Agricultural Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Program. The program aims to Promote Climate Change Adaption and Mitigation within the Agricultural Sector in Kenya and at the same time consolidate financing for the climate-resilient projects within the Agricultural sector. The project is funded by FAO and the Green Climate Fund
