About Caroline Kosiom:
. I am a technical program management and a policy advocacy expert having worked extensively in implementing several donor-funded programs focusing on livelihood improvement. Specifically, I have coordinated the implementation of programs in areas of market systems development, women and youth economic inclusion, refugee livelihoods improvement, SME and enterprise development, food security and nutrition, agricultural productivity enhancement, and climate change adaptation/ mitigation. I have extensive experience in fundraising, concept development, technical writing, and in developing integrated work plans, budgets, donor reporting, and in the management of multi-stakeholder donor-funded programs.
I have over 10 years of work experience in trade facilitation, policy research, and advocacy, and in the implementation of various programs aimed at enhancing private sector growth through community development. I have gained an in-depth understating of the local and international trade and human development policy and regulatory environment under the existing provisions of bilateral and multilateral agreements, which Kenya has ratified.
I am also a data scientist with expertise in collecting, analyzing and reporting on large data sets. I have expertise in the use of statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, and other analytical techniques such as trend and financial ratio analysis. I hold a master’s degree in Strategic Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance both from the University of Nairobi. I am also a CPA-Kenya hence very conversant with the fiscal policy environment. I am, self-driven, and organized with strong attention to detail and I work very well even under pressure. Program: USAID Tumikia Mtoto Project- Position: Project Coordinator Under KNCCI The USAID Tumikia Mtoto Project focuses on Behavioural Interventions targeting adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) aged 9-24 years in Embakasi North and South, Kasarani, Kamukunji, Westlands, Makadara in Nairobi, and Thika and Ruiru Sub counties in Kiambu. This is a 5 years OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) and DREAMS (Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-Free, Mentored and Safe) Program that aims to increase the use of Quality County-led Health and Social Services. The DREAMS initiative is aimed at reducing new HIV infections among 9-24 years old AGYW through the provision of a tailored, comprehensive, and evidence-informed service package for AGYW, their male sexual partners; families; and communities.
