As a system administrator, my role involves managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems and networks run smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities would include:

• Network Administration: Managing firewalls, routers, switches, and ensuring proper network segmentation, along with monitoring traffic for security or performance issues.
• Security: Implementing security policies, ensuring systems are patched and updated, and regularly monitoring for threats. This includes performing backups, setting up firewalls, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
• User Management: Creating and managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls within systems. Helping users troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, or network access.
• Communication and documentation are also crucial, as administrators need to keep detailed records of network configurations, incidents, and system changes.

Kenya Revenue Authority. (KRA).
February 1st 2023 to date interned at Kenya Revenue
Authority (KRA). I was responsible for managing
the organizations system, as a system support
interned and also networking system support. My
experience working on various individual and group
projects has given me insight into the importance of
collaboration, communication and teamwork in
delivering results. As an intern for KRA, I am eager
to put these skills to use and contribute to the
success of the department.
