About Brian Kipchirchir:
I am a young, dedicated lawyer with experience in modern aspects pertaining to the law i.e Intellectual Property, Tax Advisory, Fintech Law and Data Protection. I keep abreast with trends and best practices in my field. I am a fast learner and I have the ability of working in a diverse environment. Some of my key strengths are: strong communication and interpersonal skills, goal-oriented performance, integrity, timely research, report collection and working well with a team.
Experience
I am currently an Advocate Trainee at Gitahi Munyi and Associates. I have engaged in different aspects pertaining to legal practice. Key areas include commercial law, drafting and preparing leases, client interviews, conveyancing, preparing of high-level agreements pertaining to transfer of technology, undertaking high level research pertaining to intellectual property and evolving legal concepts pertaining to IP like Plant and Breeder Rights.
I have also worked as an intern at Sang and Sang Company Advocates. Here, I engaged in various legal branches majorly Litigation. This is whereI interacted with the real practice and was able to put what had learned in Class into practice. I learned how to interact with clients and build an Advocate-Client relationship as one of my key elements. I handled numerous Consultancy agreements between parties especially Saccos.
Education
I went to Kapsabet Boys High School from 2011-2014 for my Secondary School. I attained an A of 80 Points.
From 2015 through to 2020, I went to the University of Nairobi where I studied for a Bachelors in Law and graduated with Honours.
From 2021 through to 2022, I went to the Kenya School of Law for a Diploma in Advocates Training Programme. Part of the program involves undertaking an Advocates Trainee Program for 6 months which I have currently completed.
