Brian Kayanga

I am an Informatics and Computer Science student with hands-on experience in IT support, system troubleshooting, and web application development. I have worked in enterprise environments providing end-user support, diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues, and supporting platforms such as Microsoft 365 and business-critical systems. Alongside this, I develop responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Laravel, and Python, with experience in database design and API integration.

I enjoy bridging the gap between users and technology by building reliable systems and ensuring they work smoothly in real-world environments. I am detail-oriented, service-focused, and continuously learning, with a strong interest in creating practical digital solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.

I have hands-on experience in IT support, system troubleshooting, and web application development gained through internships, academic projects, and volunteer roles. During my ICT internship at The Nairobi Hospital, I provided end-user support, resolved hardware, software, and network issues, and supported enterprise systems including Microsoft 365 and hospital management platforms. In parallel, I have developed responsive web and mobile applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Laravel, Python, and Kotlin, worked with databases and APIs, and built automation and AI-assisted solutions. My experience combines technical problem-solving, user-focused support, and collaborative project work in fast-paced environments.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Informatics and Computer Science at Strathmore University, where I have gained a strong foundation in software development, IT support, networking, and systems analysis. My coursework and projects have covered web and mobile application development, database design, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and AI/ML concepts, using tools such as React, Laravel, Python, Java, Kotlin, SQL, Git, and cloud-based platforms. Through practical labs, group projects, and leadership roles, I have developed strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
