About Brenda Mugambi:

My name is Brenda Mugambi,

I would like the opportunity to continue learning and developing within your organization, through the application of my skills and to deliver value to the organization in the execution of my tasks. Further, this opening will give me the platform to apply the skills I have learnt this fur and the opportunity to get more experience and exposure.

Experience

After graduating from university, I was fortunate to secure a position as a claim analyst with Sanlam Insurance Company. This is where I learned how to handle clients and be innovative, as I was also a member of the team developing new business expansion strategies. Then, I was a tax analyst intern at Ernst & Young Tax in the Tax department. I was able to develop my financial expertise and use the concepts I learned in school. I then had the opportunity to be a graduate trainee at Ericsson, where I was exposed to the world of technology. I was able to get account management and business analysis skills while working with one of the company's largest clients in Africa. At Preos, my eyes were opened to the opportunities that are there in the world of technology and business, as a junior account manager I was largely involved in reviewing the client’s company and recommending the improvements they need and the best way to implement the new software.

Education

I studied bachelor of commerce specializing in Finance from my undergraduate program, graduating with a first class. I have always love mathematics from the time I was in primary and secondary school, naturally going to University I also wanted to continue with a course that also incorporated math. Going into the third year, after having courses across all the fields in commerce, I chose to specialize in Finance because the I wanted to focus more on the economics of business. I was part of the Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (AIESEC) organization at my university I was exposed to a variety of options. As part of the business development team, I played a significant role in recruiting companies for our numerous initiatives. I was also able to get the opportunity to travel and volunteer at a local school in Thailand and teach English to young children. In my final year of school, I served on the financial committee of the student council.
