I'm well-versed in C+, C#, CPython, image processing and supervised machine learning (MATLAB). I have biomedical engineering experience in the UK and Kenya.I have a master's and undergraduate academic degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering (MEng) from Birmingham City University (Birmingham, UK). I have also worked for companies like Appen, Meditech and Afya X-ray centre in the private sector. The expertise gained is in procurement, installation, repair, and servicing (PPM) of multiple medical equipments such as x-ray, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and ventilators.

Performed Colour Based Segmentation using K-Means Clustering and K-means classification algorithms to help identify (H&E) stained cancer cells from other Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) stained cells.

- Project Supervisor for machine learning and data collection project at Appen.
- The project was in collaboration with Facebook (Meta) and Ray-Bans teams.

Biomedical Engineering consultant at The TreAdvisory GmbH, Bonn Germany (November 2021)
- Remote work: Contracted by the director (Titus Ndunda) on weekends (after work hours) to consult on medical equipment procurement and planned preventative maintenance(PPM) services on Lab equipment e.g., Photometer, Spectrometer, 9018 electro analysers.
Biomedical engineering internship at Meditech systems (Siemens Healthineers and Elekta partner), Nairobi Kenya (August 2021)
- Part of the field engineering team
- Performed planned preventative maintenance(PPM) on Siemens MRI in Aga Khan and MPISHA hospital.
- Troubleshoot MRI cooling system and found fluctuation in helium condensation margins. The solution was to replace cold heads of Gifford-McMahon Cryocooler.
- Troubleshoot and found impurities in Siemens MRI helium cooling system. Replaced system absorbers (impurity filters)
- Performed PPM on Siemens CT Scan and replaced a detector channel.
- Installed DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) in Mediheal.This included testing the PACS and HIS servers.
- Installed and positioned C-arm, Al equivalent protection and table in the Catheterization lab in Mediheal Hospital.
- Performed maintenance on the Cath lab in Aga Khan.
- Performed PPM on a Siemens Ultrasound in Aga Khan.
- Performed PPM on digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) Mammogram in Aga Khan.
- Using a Siemens x-ray machine, we performed fluoroscopy using a phantom to troubleshoot the machine's failure to expose. The solution was that the anode was worn out.
- Attended seminars led by head engineers on multiple x-ray modalities, DICOM systems and M.R.I.
Biomedical Engineer at MARBIC Biomedical Engineering Limited, Nairobi Kenya (October 2021)
- Contracted on weekends (after work hours) to perform PPM on Siemens X-ray machine, Ct scan and Ultrasound at Afya X-ray centre for Dr Rodrigues. This included calibration (tube and air calibration) of the Philips Ct scan.
- Diagnosed localised artefact in CT was due to tube arcing.
Biomedical engineering internship at The Nairobi Hospital Biomedical Engineering and Maintenance department, Nairobi Kenya (July, September- November 2021)
- Part of the hospital procurement committee that attended procurement and servicing meetings with internal and external biomedical engineers, biomedical equipment technicians, electronic engineers, and the hospital management team.
- Utilised DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) systems.
- Fixed problems with the PACS and HIS servers.
- Performed servicing on the fluoroscopy x-ray machine.

- Diagnosed that ring artefact in Siemens CT scan was due to failure of one of the detector channels

- For my postgraduate master’s thesis, I used C++ language to program and build a Pulse Wave Velocity measuring device that determines the risk of Cardiovascular risk in elderly patients. A mega Arduino microcontroller was used.
