Designation: Head- Solar PV Projects (Technical- EPC)
- More than 10 MWp Rooftop + Ground Mount Projects -Detail Designing review & Costing of projects experience in East African Region. Also support of BD department in advance stage basic designs for marketing, procurement department in technical specification of material, vendor selection & installation department in engineering and as built drawings.
- Responsible for Project profitability analysis for all grid connected projects (1.5MWp to 15MWp).
Role & Responsibility:
- Responsible for preparing technical drawings, BOQ, Costing & Profitability Analysis of each projects and outlining specifications of electrical systems for Solar Projects, basically design of SPV systems for on-grid/off-grid / Roof Top kWp / MW scales EPC projects at various locations.
- Prepare estimates & budget for projects. Cost comparison and negotiation with vendors.
- Design of SPV plants (component selection, simulation, DC-cable sizing, loss calculations, SLD, SCADA system etc.)
- Review designs & work plan from Engineering team and provide updates and inputs.
- Responsible for equipment selection- Module & Inverter, Transformer, LT/ HT Panel, Array junction box & Online Monitoring designing.
- Working closely with other engineers, clients and contractors to discuss existing projects and to ensure that relevant standards are being met by products and design (IEC,IS,etc.)
- Deal with specifications for equipment and materials needed for the project, like all Auxiliary supplely for HT, LT & Transformer, Weather station and all Electrical Engineering related BOM to the project.
- Responsible for analyzing data from solar plants, conducting the proper analysis on solar cell efficiency for different geographical and climatic conditions.

- April’2016 to July’2016 & January’2017 to July’2017 -I was in Nairobi, Kenya. I have handled 4-Projects in Kenya with site management and whole project designing.
Role & Responsibility:
- AC side designing which includes design & selection, sizing of feeder panel, calculating the rating of the switchgear and protection required in the system.
- Cable sizing by calculating the voltage drop and power loss in a particular cable and cable routing layout preparation according to the cable sizes selected.
- Earthing calculations for the sizing of earth strip, material to be used GI, Aluminum or copper, and calculating the number of earth pits to be provided for the system.
- Analyzing the existing system configuration and selecting a proper evacuation scheme to be integrated with the existing system.
- DC side designing of Solar rooftop PV projects, which includes the stringing calculations, module selection, inverter range calculations according to the performance under different temperature conditions.
- Shadow analysis of the objects present on the roofs, Module Layout preparation according to the shadow free area available
- PVsyst report for estimating the Yield Generation of the Solar Plant, optimizing the parameters of the solar plant which affect the Energy Generation such as Tilt-Pitch, DC /AC ratio, thermal losses, DC & AC wiring losses, mismatch losses, transformer losses, transmission losses and auxiliary losses.
