About Ann Neema:
I am a lady aged thirty-six years from Kilifi County, Magongo sublocation. I would like to apply for a job as a monitoring and evaluation project officer at Plan International Kilifi Branch.
I have completed a monitoring and evaluation course. I hold a Masters Degree in Public Health. I also hold an undergraduate degree in Education having majored in Early Childhood Education.
Currently I work at Pwani University as a part time tutor. I also work with for the good organization where I encourage enrollment, and retention of children in schools. I taught human rights in an Early Childhood College and I have worked as a curriculum developer at Bridge International Academy.
I am a a team player and a self motivated person who is able to work with minimal supervision under high pressure.
Experience
Currently, I work as a part time tutor at Pwani University where I teach Health and Nutrition, Socio-Medical Sciences in Environmental Health and Disaster Management. In addition, I set tests for students and mark the exams.
I work with For the Good Kenya which is a gender based organization that encourages enrollment, retention and transition of both boys and girls to school with a special focus on the girl child. This I do through provision of education materials and through creating awareness in the community.
I also work with a community based organization called Faraja which is gender based and I focus on empowering both boys and girls with life skills with a special focus on the girl child.
Previously I worked as a curriculum specialist in Bridge international Academies where I developed health lessons to teach children content on drug and substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and STIS, Self Care, Reproductive Health among others.
I have also worked as a tutor in an Early Childhood College where I taught children's rights, maternal health and Nutrition, and Guidance and Counselling to teachers.
Education
I completed a Monitoring and Evaluation COurse from Kenya Institute of Management.
I also hold a Masters Degree in Public Health from North Dakota State University. During my study I worked as a Graduate Assitant and collected data on reproductive health and ensured confidentiality of the collected data. I also conducted a research project on causes of malnutrition among children aged five and below in Maara County. I wrote my thesis paper on prevention of neonatal deaths.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kenyata University.
