At Bureau Veritas, I worked as a Junior AI Engineer in Nairobi, responsible for gathering dev requirements, developing AI models, documenting designs, engineering and analyzing data, deploying AI models on AWS, and integrating IoT devices. As an intern at Churpy Inc, I collaborated with a team to solve workflow issues, updated the data science lead weekly, improved software engineering processes, designed UI wireframes using AdobeXD, built APIs, and executed batch jobs with Apache Spark.

I have experience working with Raspberry Pi for IoT and deploying apps on AWS. I designed system architecture on AWS and dockerized Lambda apps for image cleaning. I built a PyTorch Generative Adversarial Network, a Python package for statistical calculations, and a linear regression model for E-commerce. I automated invoicing with Selenium, created a salary prediction app with Streamlit, and managed batch jobs with Apache Spark. I also developed a fastai-based image processing recommendation system, bus booking web and mobile apps with Laravel and Android Studio, and a MongoDB-backed spelling tutoring web app.

I graduated from Strathmore University, Nairobi with a Bachelor of Science in Informatics and Computer Science, receiving 2nd Class Honours (Upper Division) and a Merit Scholarship. I was also a member of the Information Technology Students Association.
