As a versatile professional with a diverse background in Real Estate, Healthcare Management, Expansion and Finance, I bring a unique perspective and skill set to any organization. Currently serving as Head of Finance at Penda Health Limited, I have a proven track record of success in finance management and healthcare expansion, having launched seven new facilities in Nairobi. I pride myself on my ability to quickly learn and excel in new roles, adapt to dynamic and fast-paced environments, and take on new challenges to ensure the success of the team and organization.

Head of Finance for Penda Health (2022-current)- Responsible for overseeing the finance department and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of financial operations across the organization. I oversee four functions in the department i.e. Credit and Billing, Accounting, Treasury and Financial Planning and Analysis, and manage a team of nineteen.

• In collaboration with Departmental Heads and Branch Managers, develop and manage the organization's budgets and financial forecasts to ensure that they align with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization
• Together with the Leadership and Business Intelligence Team, develop financial models to aid in decision-making and forecasting.
• Oversee cash flow planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure optimal cash management and funding for the organization's operations.
• Conduct financial analysis on a monthly basis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the organization, preparing financial reports and management accounts, and presenting the findings to the senior management team.
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and manage the financial resources of the organization, and ensuring that financial plans are aligned with the organization's goals.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards, and coordinating external audits.

Credit and Billing Manager at Penda Health (2020-2021) - streamlined our revenue cycle management processes by instituting revenue integrity measures at the medical facilities and the Support Office. 

Expansion Manager at Penda Health (2019-2020) - launched 7 medical centers in Nairobi in 15 months. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I was instrumental in helping the organization cut rent costs per month by 35%, thereby reducing Opex by about 11%  which went a long way in keeping our doors open for our patients.

Housing and Real Estate Consultant at the National Police Service (2018-2019) - played a pivotal role in developing the housing and housing allowance mechanism. Our team came up with the housing gap formula, a model that was adopted by the government for the analysis of housing need within the service and determination of housing allowance.

Business Development Executive at BuildAfrique Ltd (2016-2017) - honed my skills in market research, product development, and customer relationship management.
