Wacira Gatheru is an experienced Writer Director Editor and Creative Consultant with a demonstrated history of working with the fashion and advertising industries. Skilled in Creative Problem-Solving, Short Films, and Photography for motion pictures. Proficient in Photo-shop CC, After Effects CC, and Premiere CC. He has written award-winning short films, such as “The Strange Visitor” nominated for best special effects at the 9th Kalasha Awards, and “Mwikali” which won 2nd place at Machakos Film Festival. As an Editor, Andrew has worked on projects such as Dreamchild, K.E.R.U, FIHI, Discovery +254, and many TV shows and feature-length movies in Kenya and East Africa. His latest short film “The Girl Inside” is making its rounds in Film Festivals worldwide and was selected for this year's First-Time Filmmaker Sessions @ Pinewood Studios. Wacira has worked for well-known Production houses in the country from Sounds & Pictures, Film Crew In Africa, Zamaradi, and many more. With his creative flare, Wacira has directed a number of music videos that have garnered reviews and numbers on YouTube for Veryl Mkali Wao.

One of the most transformative experiences was my journey through Africa, where I immersed myself in the vibrant cultures and breathtaking landscapes of the continent. This adventure not only broadened my perspectives but also instilled in me the importance of embracing new challenges and pushing past my fears.
