Worked closely with the line government departments at the ward level including Ward Livestock Production Officer, Ward Water Officer, Ward Agricultural Officer, Community Health workers, and Community Facilitators based in North Horr Ward.
Provided technical leadership and mentorship to target community groups such as Natural Resource Management Groups, Water Users Associations, Community Disaster Management Committees and Livestock Marketing Associations. The technical leadership entails motivating group members to undertake the planned activities, document the progress made and providing appropriate feedback to the Line manager.
Internship at Marsabit Water and Sanitation Project (15th July 2019 to 30th April 2020)
Roles
Preparation of bidding documents, materials and technical work specifications
Supervision of construction works on site.
Measurement of works for certification and payment.
Preparation of additional drawings using AutoCAD software.
Preparation of progress reports for submission to client which included preparation of daily reports, gathering information on progress, environmental health and safety measures, and resources mobilized to site.

Witnessing the testing of materials and works on site such as concrete cubes, concrete blocks for masonry, aggregates for concrete, grouting materials, uPVC/HDPE and concrete pipes and their respective pipelines. This included interpretation of results.
Involved in survey works both at the Dam and STP.
