I am a current graduate based in Nairobi with a positive attitude, leadership skills and the ability to work in team environments. My previous work experience entailed overseeing daily company Administrative activities and business functions. Am great with decision making, building client relationships, capacity to multitask, utilize time management and conflict resolution to increase efficiencies. I seek to further develop my skills in a dynamic organization, build on my network and gain knowledge in a practical and fast paced working environment.

Volunteered for the GFA/GIZ project (Drought resilience in northern Kenya) during my 2019 summer holiday. The purpose of this project is Food security and Drought resilience in the west and north of Kenya. I helped in formulation of business plans and marketing strategies for community groups implementing irrigated agriculture projects. In 2020, my co-founder and I mapped the supply chain of secondhand clothing trade, and realized how fragmented it was and how many unnecessary middlemen were involved and started thrifty retails, an e-commerce solution to change this. We connect local market apparel retailers to customers through a transparent affordable marketplace. By putting an informal retailer online we help them reach a wider pool of customers thus increasing their sales and enabling them to improve their lives. In my role as head of marketing and sales for thrifty, I acquired experience in executing digital marketing campaigns, skills in SEO implementation, ads management and website/graphic design. These tasks improved my communication skills, field research abilities and taught me how to prepare reports and business plans. 

I pursued a degree in Bachelor of Science in International  Business at United States International University- Africa. My work experience and educational background have equipped me with extensive quantitative knowledge and technical experience in different business sectors. I’ve focused most of my studies on business management, marketing, sales, strategic planning, and entrepreneurship.
