Institute of Public Policy and International Affairs in USIU-AFRICA; 2022 to date Duties
and Responsibilities
● Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Institute of Public Policy and International Affairs at
USIU-AFRICA.
● Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
● Collaborate with fellow board members to make informed decisions on matters pertaining to policy
development and international affairs.
● Monitor and evaluate the Institute's performance against established objectives and key
performance indicators.
● Review and approve budgets, financial statements, and other fiscal documents to ensure
responsible financial management.

● Foster relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, academic institutions, and
industry partners, to promote collaboration and support for the Institute's initiatives.
● Participate in board meetings, discussions, and committees to address critical issues and provide
valuable insights.
● Stay abreast of industry trends, policy developments, and international affairs to inform decision-
making and contribute to the Institute's thought leadership.
● Serve as an ambassador for the Institute, representing its interests at conferences, seminars, and
public forums.
● Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and act in the best interests of the organization
