Abdifatah Hussein

I am a young refugee professional who is currently working in a challenging and fast-paced field of refugee advocacy and business management with a focus on financial management and business administration. I am a self-motivated individual who has a strong critical, analytical and problem solving skill along with excellent communication skills. I am a result oriented and knowledgeable in identifying operational requirements, creating, implementing plans, handling processes involved in banking and finance and effectively. Coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives, I have a wide knowledge in operations management, inventory tracking and financial procedures, demand/supply planning, staff development, financial reporting and accounting and change managemen.

Working to the Finance and Auditing department, maintained finance records and carried out administrative duties in a highly professional manner. 
• Supported finance teams and accounting team, with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
• Utilised multiple data sets and input from various stakeholders to assist and build reliable and flexible forward-looking forecasts.
• Assisted with preparation of month-end close, journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Established daily priorities and organised workloads to maximise productivity.
• Evaluated finances to assess budget and controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Partnered with senior operations leadership on budgetary and financial management decisions.
• Risk management and review of the organization's risks o Data analysis in ICT audit tasks.

financial reports and statements.

I have a bachelor’s degree from Moi University in Business Management majoring in Banking and Finance with a second upper division.
